Pests

Key Indicators

  • African Bollworm (Helicoverpa spp Jassids)
  • Leaf miners

Mode of Action

  • Flubendiamide acts on a recently discovered and new point of action insecticide receiver ryanodine. Ryanodine receptors are channel intracellular Ca2 + that allows rapid mobilization. Flubendiamide causes constant opening ryanodine receptor allowing uncontrolled movement of calcium which lead to generalized muscle contraction (Rapid paralysis) which leads to larveae death.
  • Spirotetramat is a Lipid Biosynthesis Inhibitor (LBI) and is active by ingestion against immature insects feeding on treated plants , and has significant impact on exposed female adults by reducing fecundity and survival of off spring eggs. Spirotetramat can also drastically reduce the number of viable larvae deposited by adult aphids.
